Experimental Trial ProductOur lab is currently interested in how well allergens and mold can be detected based on the particles inside and outside your home. T0 begin our exploration of this area, we are currently offering an allergen and mold test kit on a limited and trial basis.
Sampling is simple – just swab the top of your door frame at several locations in your home.
Locations of interest will be inside of your bedroom, bathroom, and front door.
We will send you three swabs. You would run a swab back and forth across these three areas, picking up the dust that has settled there. We would then analyze the DNA of the spores, pollen, and other particles that were picked up in your sample.
As this is an experimental product, we are not yet able to guarantee when the results will arrive from your sample. We will need to acquire enough samples before DNA sequencing can be performed.
Kits will be sent out in October 2024. The total number of kits will be limited at this trial price. The future price will likely be many, many multiples of this. Return shipping is not included as a part of the kit. You will also be asked to submit a short questionnaire along with the samples, with questions such as the age of the home, number and type of pets, and the number of people living in the household.
